ESPN, Ellen, CNN, etc.: Highlights of what people are saying about 9 putts, 1 cup video

Yesterday we posted a list with links to stories about the trick golf shot that our students in the PGA Golf Management University Program made that have appeared on various news and entertainment sites with local, national, and global audiences.

Of course, we at Campbell University are excited about the coverage our creative, bright students are receiving, as well as the attention being drawn to our small but big-thinking university and to our top-notch PGA Golf Management University Program.

Here’s a look at just a few of the you-definitely-don’t-want-to-miss-this coverage and a few Tweets that represent what people are saying about the video:

ABC’s Good Morning America names its the “Play of the Day,” and then the hosts try their own trick golf shot:

Fifty-eight percent of readers of ESPN.com’s SportsNation section agree that the trick shot is more impressive than some between-the-legs dunk:

And through its Twitter feed, ESPN shares the “you have to see it to believe it” video:

Our students try to re-create the trick shot for an Inside Edition TV crew:

From online Inside Edition story Video Captures 9 Golfers Sinking Simultaneous Putts On Single Hole:

The winning seniors showed INSIDE EDITION how they dug up the hole to make it deeper so nine golf balls would fit.

So we had to ask, could they make the shot again?

They made seven unsuccessful attempts for us as rain fell.

But they’ll always have that amazing video of their amazing moment.

Of course it made The Golf Channel:

The re-tweet from Justin Rose, one of the top golfers in the world, that helped get the video early attention on social media:

The 2010 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Rickie Fowler offers his compliments:

Carson Daly, host of NBC’s The Voice and Last Call with Carson Daly, lets his Twitter followers know he watched it:

Even when you’re checking a site unrelated to sports or news, you can’t get away from the video:

And these tweets probably best sum it up for us:
